ONE YEAR!!!

Ok so for all of you who have been saying "Is she ever going to give us an update" well here you go. I am sorry for not keeping you all updated on the past few months. But life has been a little hectic!! I will do my best to update you all and you can fill in any blanks that you might think of.
Back at the end of January I started to take care of some little girls in my ward. Life with our family went from 3 to 5 in a matter of days. Their mother was going through a divorce and some other emotional hardship. So the girls being 3 and 7 were quite the handful. We would watch them anywhere from 45-60 hours a week. I found myself not being able to do as much as hold Daniel. It was always clean this, and fix that, put that back, stay out of there. So due to the lack of time that I could spend taking care of Daniel we chose not to watch them any longer. So it has been about two weeks and ever since then we have been doing much better.
So on to Daniel, he now weighs around 20lb and is about 27inch tall. He loves to play and be outside. We have a deck off the front of our apartment and we just lay blankets down and put a gate up and he will play out there all day if I would let him, and if it weren’t for those horrible nape things… Daniel also loves water. I don’t think I really have to mop the floor too often because he takes care of it with his baths.... We are so excited and can’t wait to take him swimming I think that he might be nervous at first but who knows with this kid! He has also learned how to climb on things. Including the couch, his recent discovery STAIRS!! I really think he is part monkey and one of these days he is going to wake up and have a tail!!.. No really it is fun to watch him learn and grow. I am sad to say that he really is not a baby anymore, but when I say that I just think of all the fun things that we are learning together and the little boy that he has become!! We see more and more of his personality every day, he is so much like his daddy.
So Saturday we celebrated Daniels first birthday. Time really goes by fast and I hope that I will be able to keep up with this little guy as he learns more and more about the world around him. But needless to say his party was a great success. After a couple of baths we peeled our little monster out from under all of the frosting. I will post some pictures as soon as we are able to get them off of our camera. But for now this will have to do. I hope that I will be able to keep you all updated on us a little better than I have been. But for now we will just have to see. We Love all of you guys and hope that you all have a great week.

Daniel is 9 Months!!

Ok so once again I have lost track of time. I have been meaning to get on and give you all an update but have just not been able too with all the things that have been going on. So I due believe that you are all deserving a much needed update on our little portion of the McGee family. So here goes.
Adam has started school at UVU and is doing really well. I am always amazed that he can be working full time, go to school full time, have a family and still get a 3.6 GPA and have slept through 2 of his finals. How he does it I have no idea!! Well anyhow he is enjoying work as well. Not that far back he received a per motion and now works in the update department. And is now learning flash, and is very excited about it. He is enjoying life and is hoping that he is able to learn more in animation and the field that he is working in. As for me there is not to much that is new although there is some, I have decided to wait on school for right now. But have been taking some cake decorating classes. Adam designed me a web site if you want to take a look www.puffsofsugar.com. I have a couple more cakes that I will be doing this spring and summer. Not including one the end of this month for my sister. It is really stressful at times but I truly do enjoy it. I have also started to take care of some little girls during the week for a sister in our ward. So that is really all that I have been up to.
As for Daniel he has been up to so much lately. In the last couple of months he has continued to eat solid foods and is now just getting use to the different textures, although he really likes bananas and strawberries, peas and green beans are not his favorite, although he does eat them. Around the beginning of December Daniel also learned how to crawl. But then just learning how to crawl only lasted about a week, and he was already pulling up, and trying to figure out how to climb. I think it is kinda funny when he falls I know that sounds mean but he just lays there and the reaction is so funny. Granted we do pick him up when he is really hurt. Any how I really like to watch him learn new things. Daniel is now just starting to figure out how to balance. I do hope that he does not start to walk for just a little longer. Although I don't think that this kiddo is going to slow down for anything!! Daniel has also learned a couple of words. He loves to say DADA. He also says something to the affect of "DAD DO IT." Usually wanting Adam to pay attention to him or something like that. One of his favorite things to do is to wait for Adam to get home from work. He will crawl over to the window pull himself up, to stand there saying DADA over and over. I think its pretty cute. So any how I think that is about all that is going on for now. Well we hope that all of you have had an amazing holiday season. We had lots of fun being around family and thank all that sent cards and gifts, we truly are enjoying them. Daniel received several books and that box of diapers that he asked Santa for. He was quite excited about the diapers!! (he just really only wanted to play with the box, but oh well.) Adam got some books and a Video camera from his parents. I received some totally awesome slippers and a new carrying case for all my cake supplies. It was really fun!! Well anyhow I really will try to make sure that next month is on time. Oh and if there are any of you who did not get a Christmas card from us and would still like one or just a picture of our family please let me know so I can get them sent out. Well I think that this is long enough so I will let you all go and will talk more later.
Love you all very much!!

DANIEL IS 7 MONTHS

Hey everyone just wanted to let everyone know that Daniel is now seven months old, and doing great. We took him to the doctor this past month and he is 17lb 4oz, and is 25.5" tall. He is growing up so fast.
I waited to post for this month till now, because I wanted to post him in his costume. This year for Halloween Daniel was a puppy. He was really cute with his little ears, everytime he moved his head they would wag... We also let him have a little treat for the first time. He was so excited about it, but... oh did he get sticky!!! It was really fun to watch his eyes as they would get bigger every time he would put the sucker in his mouth.
Any how this past month Daniel has been working on sitting up. Daniel also really likes to hold his blottle, and to scoot around on the floor.
We have also given him his own room and he is doing really well with it. I had originaly thought he would get upset that we were not right there, but he actualy sleeps better all by himself. Although we did have one night when Adam forgot to bring the monotor into our room and we woke up to a very unhappy little Daniel Monster.
Well anyways we are all doing well, although Daniel did catch something the other day. I think that it was just a stomach flu, but it still wasn't fun to deal with. He is getting better now, it was just scary to for us to watch him go through that. Anyhow... well he is up from his nap so i'de better go. Hope that all of you are doing well, and that we may hear how things are going in all of your lives. We love all of you, and will talk more later.

Daniel's 6 Months old!!!!

Well we have made it to six months and Daniel is doing great. It has been a fun month. One of Daniel's favorite things to do at church is to be as loud as he can during the Hymns. I think it is kinda cute that he is trying to sing. As soon as the music stops he just sits there and is quite till the prayer is over.

He also loves to roll around. He gets himself stuck up next just about anything that is on the floor and if it is small enough it goes into the mouth. And keeping things off the floor is a bigger task then I had imagined. The other day I was doing laundry and the sheets were all in a pile on the floor and he managed to get himself all wraped up and stuck in them he thought it was the greatest thing. Daniel is also learning how to sit up. Although he can do it, he just has to figure this balancing thing out.
We are not sure how much he weights now or how tall he is cause we missed his Dr. appointment so I will have to send an update later in October.

We have been experimenting with solid food for a couple of weeks now, mostly just rice cereal. But this week I decided to start something new so were trying sweet potatoes this week... He LOVES them!! I was laughing so hard but we did managed to get a few good pictures. I think that next month he might be a little orange in the skin but oh well, he will still be cute. I told him that next week we are going to try squash and he got really excited, so we will see.
We love taking care and raising this wonderful little boy. He is truly a blessing and a handful all at the same time. But I really do enjoy it and I look forward to the days ahead. It is so neat to watch him discover new things. And to see him get excited when Adam comes home from work is really fun. I cant wait for the hugs and the kisses that he will be able to give in a few more months. Being a Mom is truly a blessing.
Well we will talk more later.
Love
