This year has been a very rough year for our family starting out great in January, going kinda sour in March and even worse during the spring, then getting better the first part of November. Believe me when I say we have been learning a lot.
In March of this year Adam was let go from is position with a marketing company in salt lake. And was then unemployed for about two months when he was offered a job in park city ut. He was able to work from home, the pay was amazing and it all seemed to be it the right place at the right time. Although we were so very excited we were not very humble about this opportunity. It was very short lived 36 hours from accepting the job, and two sleepless nights for Adam staying up working, they no longer needed him. (Very sad day) They next few months were not as bad as we had thought they would be. Until August hit when Adam started school, and we were dropped from unemployment because going to school is considered an asset... In September Daniel started to get sick and we were at the Dr. every two weeks for the next three months (mind you we have no insurance...) every visit was about $100.00 and the meds started out at $4.00 and went all the way to $197.00. Adam had so many interviews that we both had lost hope that anything was going to come along. We started to think of ways we could survive if we ended up having NO money at all... We had finally decided to humble ourselves and start to asking for help!! We had then decided to talk to some family and see if we could live with them, and started to let people know how bad we were hurting. At this point we had $13.00 in out checking account, no milk for Daniel and 2 diapers. We had no idea what to do, I was so scared, neither Adam or I ever slept very well, we were not even really talking cause it just felt like at any second life was going to take something else away. So we prayed... The very next day Adam woke up to an email that was from an employer in Provo that said "we have not made a decision yet, but are hoping to extend an offer today." Adam came to me and said "what do you think that means" I had no idea what it meant and that's exactly what I told him. We had learned to not get our hopes up about these things just to be patient. I knew something would come eventually, although scared that it wouldn't. Later that day I was in the kitchen making dinner while talking to Catie on the phone, when out of nowhere Adam yells from the office "I GOT A JOB" To be honest I didn't believe him for a while, still had a hard time feeling like it was for real until the first day of work. I still have a hard time believing that we are always going to have a paycheck and that it really is going to be ok. Adam was not able to drive back and forth to Brigham every day because of the drive so he stayed with his uncle in salt lake. The plan was to do this till we had enough money for a deposit and a first rent. After doing this for about a week Daniel was not handling having Adam gone all week and our plans for not moving changed. We knew that heavenly father would help us if this is what we were meant to do. About a week into looking Adam found a town house in Springville that we loved and wanted so badly to rent. A week later we were sighing a lease. Although the move in date was not till the first of December we at least had a house to prepare to move into. The following week Daniel had an appointment with DR. WOOD (an ENT in Logan) we were going in to see if we could do tubes so he would not be so sick. He looked in Daniel's ears and said his ears were totally retracted there was some fluid but not an infection yet and recommended TUBES, which I was expecting. Then he asked if he had been having any other symptoms? I said while he has had a sore throat, a few sinus infections, wont eat hardly anything except chocolate milk, and he has been snoring a lot worse than he had in the past. Dr. wood then opened Daniel's mouth and said "he has HUGE tonsils" he looked in Daniels nose to only then say "If we are going to put tubes in and he is already asleep I would highly recommend removing his tonsils and adenoids at the same time." My stomach dropped, this was my baby that had been sick for so long and I should have taken care of this sooner I was not expecting this news. We scheduled surgery for December 7th. I have never had to do something as hard as taking a very happy, very wiggly, very sweet little boy to the hospital telling him in the car with tears in my eyes that they are going to make it not hurt anymore. And have that sweet little face that you know is going to be crying in a few hours say "you sad mommy?" Although it's over now and he is almost back to normal, this was by far the hardest most heart breaking experience of my life!!!
Needless to say it's been a very long year... Even though these things I explain sound terrible we made it through, prayers were answered, blessings were given. We are a stronger family than we were a year ago, and I have a better outlook on life. We had nothing but our family to hold on to, and through it all we are so blessed!! I still feel like someone is going to come and take it all away. But I know that the most important things in life are not what you have but who you have to share them with... It is not always easy but if we will trust in faith that heavenly fathers plan ALWAYS has a purpose, I know that we will always have what we need. I love my heavenly father and I am so glad I made this choice to be a part of this wonderful church that has helped me understand so much more than I ever had before. I am so thankful for people that will step out or the normal crowed and give you advise that you may not want to hear (its called tough love.) I have learned to be patient, gentle, humble, to listen, to be attentive, understanding, and more supportive. I strongly believe that through every thing that happens to you there is always something that you can take out to learn. Trust is something I have a very hard time with, that is the biggest thing that I was taught its ok to TRUST heavenly father. Its ok to TRUST people, its really ok to TRUST myself... As we come closer to the end of this very rocky year I am hoping for a calmer year one that does not put my stomach in knots every day. Don't get me wrong I am thankful for this year, but very glad to see it winding to an end!!! Just remember our life's can change so quickly one day you think you have it all figured out and the next day is a different story!!

Our summer thus far!!
Ok so for many months I have not posted things, Daniel threw our Camera and it then broke and has taken this long to be able to buy a new one. So here goes on the blogging. I will be doing much better at keeping you all updated on what we are doing, I will not be using Facebook all that much anymore I just don't have time for it these days. As for how we are doing, Adam is still unemployed, but is working from home building websites for various clients. He has been able to get enough work to make ends meet for now. We are hoping that this will continue, we love having him home. He will be going to school full time starting this fall, he is scheduled to graduate in 2.5 years.
Daniel is doing great, he is quite the handful some days, but we wouldn't have it any other way. He has had a few falls, trips to the ER, and several calls to poison control... other than that he is a happy 2yr old little boy, very curious and very much like his dad!...
After moving into a larger house with plenty of space to run we are quickly learning how fast he is... And how easy it is for him to get away from us, I told Adam that if we are headed to the zoo this summer we are getting him a leash!!!..
As for me not much has changed still just being Mom and a wife. Hoping to start school this fall, I should be registering either this week or the following.
As I said before that we moved, we decided that since Jim and Carla (Adams parents) are moving and were looking for someone to rent their house. That we would take the offer to rent from them. It is cheaper then most rent in Brigham and has more space...!
So There will be a few posts following this one with some pictures of thing we have been doin this weekend. Let me know if you want to know more about what we have been doing, I would love to hear form you. I am home all the time and love to talk on the phone or TEXT...
Love ya tons hope you are all doing well!!

Playing in the water
After we got back from logan we were so hot, Daniel went into the pool with all his clothes on and then just started to laugh.
When I went to get a SWIM diaper I forgot about what diapers do when they get wet, and came back to the HUGEST diaper I have ever seen..... It made me laugh so hard I could hardly change him. Then he was too busy to get some swim shorts on but oh well he was having so much fun. So I am sorry for the half dressed monkey but oh well, I got some really cool pictures and thought I would share!!!
We Love water and Love to play outside!! Hope you are having as fun of a summer as we are, hoping to have more things to post soon, but until then!!!!..

Very needed!!!! New pictures

Ok so i know that it has been over a year since I last posted anything. It has been such a busy year I don't even know where to begin. Things have changed quite a bit since last year. We have moved four times and been through four to five different employers. Adam is still going to school at UVU in orem. He is currently out of work and has been since the beginning of march. We are doing anything and everything in our power to find employment and could use a few prayers our way.
As for me I am still just Mom, I have applied to re-enter school and hopefully will hear from them shortly.
Daniel just had his second Birthday and is doing great. He loves to play, and would be outside all day if it was not for naps....
I know that is is not very much information, but I will try to get some more thoughts together and then I will post again. I will do my best to keep this updated from now on. But here are a couple of photos. I will probably post some more tomorrow!!!

WE ARE MOVING!!!!
I know I know I know, we move so much… Well it is a long story but this is what happened. We have been talking about getting a new house that has more space do to the fact that we have really out grown our apartment. Adam being who he is started to looking immediately, and I had thought that he would wait a little bit oh well cause I am really glad that he did. We then found that apartments in Provo that were what we were looking for were in the $1000 price range and decided to start to look abroad and found this wonderful house in Spanish Fork. There is more space that we could have ever imagined and a huge fenced in yard. The neighborhood is wonderful, with many kids for Daniel to play with. We are very anxious and can’t wait!!! We were not expecting to be moving till July so I have not even started to pack. So if anyone is interested in helping please let me know so I can set up some times for you to come down. We will provide any food/meals while you are here. Don’t feel like you have to help though, it is really only twenty min away and we will have most of May to move. We love you all and hope that you have a great week. Oh and we do have a new house phone number is if you need it let me know. Oh and here are some pictures of the house enjoy.

ONE YEAR!!!
Ok so for all of you who have been saying "Is she ever going to give us an update" well here you go. I am sorry for not keeping you all updated on the past few months. But life has been a little hectic!! I will do my best to update you all and you can fill in any blanks that you might think of.
Back at the end of January I started to take care of some little girls in my ward. Life with our family went from 3 to 5 in a matter of days. Their mother was going through a divorce and some other emotional hardship. So the girls being 3 and 7 were quite the handful. We would watch them anywhere from 45-60 hours a week. I found myself not being able to do as much as hold Daniel. It was always clean this, and fix that, put that back, stay out of there. So due to the lack of time that I could spend taking care of Daniel we chose not to watch them any longer. So it has been about two weeks and ever since then we have been doing much better.
So on to Daniel, he now weighs around 20lb and is about 27inch tall. He loves to play and be outside. We have a deck off the front of our apartment and we just lay blankets down and put a gate up and he will play out there all day if I would let him, and if it weren’t for those horrible nape things… Daniel also loves water. I don’t think I really have to mop the floor too often because he takes care of it with his baths.... We are so excited and can’t wait to take him swimming I think that he might be nervous at first but who knows with this kid! He has also learned how to climb on things. Including the couch, his recent discovery STAIRS!! I really think he is part monkey and one of these days he is going to wake up and have a tail!!.. No really it is fun to watch him learn and grow. I am sad to say that he really is not a baby anymore, but when I say that I just think of all the fun things that we are learning together and the little boy that he has become!! We see more and more of his personality every day, he is so much like his daddy.
So Saturday we celebrated Daniels first birthday. Time really goes by fast and I hope that I will be able to keep up with this little guy as he learns more and more about the world around him. But needless to say his party was a great success. After a couple of baths we peeled our little monster out from under all of the frosting. I will post some pictures as soon as we are able to get them off of our camera. But for now this will have to do. I hope that I will be able to keep you all updated on us a little better than I have been. But for now we will just have to see. We Love all of you guys and hope that you all have a great week.

Daniel is 9 Months!!
Ok so once again I have lost track of time. I have been meaning to get on and give you all an update but have just not been able too with all the things that have been going on. So I due believe that you are all deserving a much needed update on our little portion of the McGee family. So here goes.Adam has started school at UVU and is doing really well. I am always amazed that he can be working full time, go to school full time, have a family and still get a 3.6 GPA and have slept through 2 of his finals. How he does it I have no idea!! Well anyhow he is enjoying work as well. Not that far back he received a per motion and now works in the update department. And is now learning flash, and is very excited about it. He is enjoying life and is hoping that he is able to learn more in animation and the field that he is working in. As for me there is not to much that is new although there is some, I have decided to wait on school for right now. But have been taking some cake decorating classes. Adam designed me a web site if you want to take a look www.puffsofsugar.com. I have a couple more cakes that I will be doing this spring and summer. Not including one the end of this month for my sister. It is really stressful at times but I truly do enjoy it. I have also started to take care of some little girls during the week for a sister in our ward. So that is really all that I have been up to.

Love you all very much!!

DANIEL IS 7 MONTHS
Hey everyone just wanted to let everyone know that Daniel is now seven months old, and doing great. We took him to the doctor this past month and he is 17lb 4oz, and is 25.5" tall. He is growing up so fast.
I waited to post for this month till now, because I wanted to post him in his costume. This year for Halloween Daniel was a puppy. He was really cute with his little ears, everytime he moved his head they would wag... We also let him have a little treat for the first time. He was so excited about it, but... oh did he get sticky!!! It was really fun to watch his eyes as they would get bigger every time he would put the sucker in his mouth.
Any how this past month Daniel has been working on sitting up. Daniel also really likes to hold his blottle, and to scoot around on the floor.
Well anyways we are all doing well, although Daniel did catch something the other day. I think that it was just a stomach flu, but it still wasn't fun to deal with. He is getting better now, it was just scary to for us to watch him go through that. Anyhow... well he is up from his nap so i'de better go. Hope that all of you are doing well, and that we may hear how things are going in all of your lives. We love all of you, and will talk more later.

Daniel's 6 Months old!!!!

Well we have made it to six months and Daniel is doing great. It has been a fun month. One of Daniel's favorite things to do at church is to be as loud as he can during the Hymns. I think it is kinda cute that he is trying to sing. As soon as the music stops he just sits there and is quite till the prayer is over.

He also loves to roll around. He gets himself stuck up next just about anything that is on the floor and if it is small enough it goes into the mouth. And keeping things off the floor is a bigger task then I had imagined. The other day I was doing laundry and the sheets were all in a pile on the floor and he managed to get himself all wraped up and stuck in them he thought it was the greatest thing. Daniel is also learning how to sit up. Although he can do it, he just has to figure this balancing thing out.
We are not sure how much he weights now or how tall he is cause we missed his Dr. appointment so I will have to send an update later in October.

We have been experimenting with solid food for a couple of weeks now, mostly just rice cereal. But this week I decided to start something new so were trying sweet potatoes this week... He LOVES them!! I was laughing so hard but we did managed to get a few good pictures. I think that next month he might be a little orange in the skin but oh well, he will still be cute. I told him that next week we are going to try squash and he got really excited, so we will see.
We love taking care and raising this wonderful little boy. He is truly a blessing and a handful all at the same time. But I really do enjoy it and I look forward to the days ahead. It is so neat to watch him discover new things. And to see him get excited when Adam comes home from work is really fun. I cant wait for the hugs and the kisses that he will be able to give in a few more months. Being a Mom is truly a blessing.
Well we will talk more later.

Count your BLESSINGS!!!!!
Hey I just thought that this was neat. That 7 years ago today was 9-11. I remember everything that I did that day. What I said, thought, felt, and were I went.
As I went outside today I saw flags up and down our street, there were so many you would have thought that the president was coming or something. It was a wonderful feeling to be reminded, that we are free. And that there are horrible but also really wonderful thing that we are given the opportunity to be part of.
Things may not always happen the way we think they should but today just reminded me of all the wonderful blessings that heavenly father has allowed me to have, and entrusted me with. I want my family to know how much I love them and how blessed I am to have them.
Daniel is 5 Months
Hey sorry that this is late but because the 4 month one went out so late I had to wait till something new happened.
So anyways Daniel now weights 16lb 8oz and is 26" tall. His new favorite thing is to roll over, although he gets stuck on his tummy and gets very mad when he cant get back. I think it is kinda funny to watch. So we let him try to figure it out for a few min and then help him get on his back, just so he can do it all over again...
Daniel has also discovered that toys are really fun to chew on especially the ones at the store. On Monday I went grocery shopping and Daniel was with me. He started to get kinda fussy so I told him that he had to wait till we were done and then he could have a bottle. So he kinda settled down. Until we got in to the baby isle... And as i was getting the cans of formula he started to laugh and just smile. So i looked up and saw this toy on the shelf, it had big red ears and a black nose and when you pull his tail it vibrates. So i picked it up and said "Hey what do you think of this" and he started to laugh. I guess that i put it to close to his face cause before i could move it he stuck it in is mouth. So we had to buy it we call him Paches Daniel loves him although he makes Daniel really excited so Paches has to stay in the living room not in Daniel's bed.
It is so much fun to watch him grow and to discover new things. I cant wait to see what he decides to do next.
Well hope that all is going well for all of you and will talk more later.

Daniel is now 4 Months old
Daniel is doing really well, we went and saw his doctor a couple of weeks ago and he is perfectly healthy. He now weights 15lb and 8oz. He is also 24" tall. Daniel loves to laugh and to just play. He is also teething and should have is first one in with in the next couple of weeks, sometimes he just sits there and cries and i just tell him that it will all be over in a year or so.... Then he just gets louder but oh well.
This past month He figured out how to suck is thumb, toes, and how to kick. He has not rolled over yet but we are working on that. Although he does lobe to stand and jump. So i don't know. Daniel also loves his baths. We recently moved in to a bigger apartment and now have a full size tub. So he does not have to use the baby tub anymore, this is were he learned how to splash and think it is the greatest thing, and loves it when the water gets in his face.
So here are some new pictures of Daniel the one of him playing with is feet was yesterday so it is the newest of them.
I will also try to get some pictures of our house soon it is just such a mess from moving in. If any of you need out new phone number of address let me know and I would be glad to get them to you. Anyways I got to run but I really hope that all of you are doing really well and hope to here from you soon.
Love
